General Jonathan Mayhew Wainwright stands as perhaps America's greatest hero from World War II, the second "war to end all wars".  As a tribute to General Wainwright and to all men and women of the armed forces who have, for more than 220 years fought to preserve the freedoms all Americans enjoy, the Wainwright Memorial Committee has created this lasting commemorative monument.
